A very useful and informative blog on breweries in Belgium. Each blog post
is about a different brewery, showing photos of the brewery together
with an explanation and some general info.
The intention of this blog is to show how beautiful
brewers and their beers can be. How beautiful bar-flies can be. All shown in
black and white and various shades of grey. Mixed with beer and poetry. An
artistic blog with black and white photos, that shows an artistic beerworld.
De Bierloods is not just the beershop in the
"Meetjesland" (with a wide range of Belgian beers and beergifts; also delivered
to your home), it is also a beer cafe (with more than 900 regional beers!) and
has space for private parties.
Dranken Vande Woude is a family-owned business

blenders. Certainly worth a visit!
Who in the Belgian beer world doesn't know Zythos?
Named after the Ancient-Greek word for "decoction of barley", this
association of beertasters encompasses many Belgian beerlovers and beer clubs.
O.B.A.D. is a relatively new beer club (° January 2008)
that strives (like so many of us!) for the preservation of our Belgian beer heritage,
by portraying the richness and enormous variety of the Belgian beer landscape. Every year,
they organize around 5 beer tastings, ranging from more general tastings to
tastings around a certain theme, they visit breweries, .. and organize a beerfestival
with more than 100 beers!
A beer association from Aalst that strives for the preservation of
our Belgian beer culture. They organize several (bi-)yearly events, for instance a
historical medieval banquet in the belfort of Aalst, a geuze tour in the "Pajottenland"
and the Zenne valley, beer tours with varying themes, etc. They are also one of
the founders of the HORAL (Hoge Raad voor Ambachtelijke Lambikbieren - High council
for artisanal lambik beers).
A beer-cultural association founded in October 1995,
member of Zythos and the Cultuurraad Oostende (Cultural council of Ostend).
The association has several enlightended goals: the preservation and promotion
of the Belgian beer culture, organizing / participating in activities that
promote our beer culture, and providing objective and correct beer information.
Pint Noord-Brabant is a subdivision of the Dutch (yep,
they also drink beer up there!) association PINT. They organize monthly beer
tastings and annual winter dinners, multiple brewery excursions and bicycle
rides. During these beer tastings, the tasting of diverse beers - and noting down
the observations - is paramount.
