Bourgogne des Flandres

BOURGOGNE DES FLANDRES® BLONDE / BLOND The Bourgogne des Flandres® Blonde pays homage on its label to Bruges’ belfry, a distinction it shares with the well-known mellow brown ale. It is a subtle, light blond ale which is top-fermented and undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle. Connoisseurs recognise this as an exceptional beer that is worthy of a true beer-producing nation. This product of enormous expertise and time-hallowed recipes is a delight to the palate. Taste-wise ... Its dark alter ego has a distinctly peppery character. The blond variant produces a richly bitter sensation in the mouth from the first sip, which quickly develops across the entire palate. Its marked bitterness slightly masks the reality of its alcohol content, above all in the aftertaste. It finishes on a strong, dry, short-lived note of bitterness.
